Marilyn Mosby's Sentencing Set to Begin Thursday
Former Baltimore States Attorney Convicted of Perjury and Obstruction of Justice
Mosby's Sentencing to Open Federal Court in Greenbelt
Former Baltimore City States Attorney Marilyn Mosby is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in a federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland, after being convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice charges.
Mosby, who was the city's top prosecutor from 2015 to 2022, gained national attention after charging six police officers in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray. However, she later faced allegations of perjury and obstruction of justice for allegedly misleading a grand jury about her financial dealings.
A federal jury convicted Mosby in March 2023, and she has been out on bond since then. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM EST on Thursday, September 8th.
